On Sunday, transfer forward Mo NIje told The Portal Report that the latest school to reach out to him was Murray State.

Nije, a 6-foot-10, 245-pound forward, was named to the All-Freshman Team in the MAC this season after averaging 6.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in just 19 minutes per game. Njie hit 61.9% of his attempts from the field and 50% from 3-point range as well on the year. His best game of the season came in the season finale against Miami (Ohio), in which he scored 16 points and 10 rebounds in just 18 minutes of action.

In addition to Murray State, he has also heard from Virginia Tech, Pitt, BYU, Tulsa, Stetson, UNC-Charlotte, UNC-Wilmington, and more.

George Michalowski co-founded The Portal Report in 2022 with the goal of creating a media outlet completely focused on the transfer portal recruiting scene. In addition to his role with The Portal Report, Michalowski now works for Pittsburgh Sports Now as the site’s Pitt basketball beat writer and PrepHoops as a Pennsylvania high school basketball scout.
