Alabama continued to prepare for another National Championship run on Tuesday morning with the addition of Vanderbilt transfer offensive lineman Tyler Steen. The talented grad-transfer was on campus over the weekend and made his decision public via Twitter.

Former Vanderbilt OT Tyler Steen Transfers to Alabama

Steen, who entered the portal in mid-January, started 33 games over the last three seasons with the Commodores. What made him even more valuable was his experience at both tackle positions. This is especially valuable for the Tide as both of their starting tackles from the 2021 season, Evan Neal and Chris Owens, will need to be replaced.

Aside from Alabama, Steen also seriously considered LSU, UCLA, Kentucky and Virginia.  However, the Tide had been seen as a favorite for several weeks as they made him an immediate priority. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

He is the fourth transfer in this cycle joining CB Elias Ricks, RB Jahmyr Gibbs and WR Jermaine Burton and he is a 4-star transfer talent. Steen was a 3 star DE recruit out of high school.
