Where Would Rob Phinisee Fit Best Between Butler and Cincinnati?

Published

on

Next week, Indiana transfer Rob Phinisee visit Butler and Cincinnati as he chooses a school for his final year of college. Where would Phinisee fit best?

Phinisee really has two great options in Butler and Cincinnati. He could either join a newly motivated Thad Matta, who got back into the coaching game or join Wes Miller, who is one of the best rising coaches in college basketball.

The Indiana native can get to the basket and dish it out to a teammate. Phinisee’s turnover-to-assist ratio was 2.02 during his time at Indiana. Butler turned over the ball more than Cincinnati last season. The Bearcats bring back guards David DeJulius and Mika Adam-Woods for another season. Cincinnati’s offense is very dependent of having the ball in DeJulius’ hand. The Bearcats need more off-the-ball players.

Butler would excel by bringing in Phinisee to run the offense and have the ball in his hands. Matta bringing in Phinisee would be a great start to the resurgence of his coaching career.
