On Friday, former Penn State guard Sam Sessoms committed to Coppin State after spending time in the transfer portal.

Sessoms, a 6-foot guard, played two seasons at Binghamton and two at Penn State. At Binghamton, he averaged over 18 points per game across two seasons, while for the Nittany Lions, he put up 10.1 points per game.

George Michalowski co-founded The Portal Report in 2022 with the goal of creating a media outlet completely focused on the transfer portal recruiting scene. In addition to his role with The Portal Report, Michalowski now works for Pittsburgh Sports Now as the site’s Pitt basketball beat writer and PrepHoops as a Pennsylvania high school basketball scout.
