Top transfer guard Antoine Davis announced on Monday afternoon that he will stay at Detroit Mercy. Davis was also considering BYU, Kansas State and Maryland.

Davis (6-foot-1, 165 pounds) entered the transfer portal on April 14, immediately becoming one of the most pursued players. Davis has spent four years playing under his father Mike Davis. Davis, the Horizon League’s Player of the Year in 2022, averaged 23.9 points, 3.6 rebounds and 4.4 assists for Detroit Mercy. Davis shot 41 percent from the field, 36 percent from three and 89 percent from the free-throw line during his career. The Birmingham, AL, native scored 2,734 career points for the Titans.

The Portal Report ranked Davis as the second best shooter in the transfer portal, just behind Creighton’s Baylor Scheierman.

Davis has one year of eligibility left.

Just minutes before his commitment, it was reported by Jeff Goodman that Davis signed an NIL deal to produce GlowBalls.
