According to a report by Austin Massey of 247 Sports, starting Wednesday, Texas Tech will play host to Saint Bonaventure transfer Dominick Welch for an official visit.
Welch is a 6-foot-5 guard with four years of experience in Olean, where he averaged more than 11 points per game in each of his last three years with the program. Welch has made over 250 three pointers in his career, shooting the deep ball at a rate of 37%. This season, he put up a career high 12.3 points per game as well as six rebounds per contest. Welch was one of several top players from last year’s Bonnies squad to hit the portal, along with Osun Osunniyi, Kyle Lofton, and others.
What’s The Latest on Transfer Forward Osun Osunniyi?
As a recruit, Welch was recruited by several mid majors, including Temple, Hofstra, Siena, and more. Now, after proving he can score it and shoot it with the best of them at the Atlantic 10 level, he is looking to contribute at a high major program for his last year of college ball.
Texas Tech has already landed pieces such as De’Vion Harmon, Fardaws Aimaq, Jaylon Tyson, and D’Maurian Williams from the portal this offseason, one of the most impressive groups in the country.
Will the Red Raiders win over Welch as well?
