On Thursday night, Texas Tech transfer guard Kevin McCullar announced that he will commit to the defending national champions in Kansas.
McCullar announced his commitment on his Twitter account.
”It has been an honor to wear the Texas Tech jersey and be part of the Lubbock community..”
”At this stage of my life, KU offers me an opportunity to continue to improve my game while still being close to family,” McCullar wrote.
McCullar will now focus on his NBA draft aspirations with the opportunity to return to college and play for the Jayhawks.
McCullar (6-foot-6, 205 pounds) spent three seasons at Texas Tech, two under Chris Beard and one under Mark Adams. McCullar averaged 10.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists during his junior season. The San Antonio native will have two years of eligibility if he chooses to stay in college.
