Ole Miss transfer Eric Van Der Heijden has committed to UNC Wilmington, he tells The Portal Report. He confirmed his commitment Monday via Instagram.
“Coach (Takayo) Siddle and the rest of his staff have shown that they have the upmost faith in me and what I can bring,” Van Der Heijden told The Portal Report. “It felt like a family right away when I went on my visit. I like everything about UNCW from the beach to downtown.”
The 6-foot-8 power forward out of Raleigh, North Carolina, averaged 0.4 points, 0.6 rebounds and 0.3 assists in 4.1 minutes per game across 15 games during the 2021-22 season.
Van Der Heijden has three years of eligibility remaining.
