On Tuesday morning, former Ole Miss forward Sammy Hunter announced that he is transferring to Akron.
Hunter (6-foot-9, 225 pounds) spent three seasons in Oxford, appearing in 89 games. Hunter averaged 2.9 points and 1.2 rebounds in 10.3 minutes per game last season for the Rebels.
Hunter has two years of eligibility remaining.
