After taking multiple official visits, Georgia transfer quarterback JT Daniels ended his recruiting process with a commitment to West Virginia.
Daniels had also taken official visits to Missouri and Oregon State but decided that the quarterback situation in Morgantown gave him the best opportunity. This situation was even more magnified when 2021 starting quarterback Jarrett Doege entered the transfer portal and eventually signed with Western Kentucky. Another key factor in his decision was West Virginia offensive coordinator Graham Harrell, who held the same position at USC when Daniels played with the Trojans.
Having initially started his collegiate career at USC, before transferring to Georgia, Daniels has passed for 4,840 yards and 32 touchdowns, while completing 63.8% of his passes. He was a 5 star out of high school in the same class as Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields after accelerating his graduation but injuries slowed him at UGA and USC. He is a 3-star transfer.
