On Friday, Pitt tight end Kaymar Mimes entered the transfer portal after four years within the program.
Mimes, a 6-foot-5, 260-pound New Jersey native, redshirted his freshman season and then played a limited role throughout the rest of his career at Pitt. This past season, he appeared in 13 games, contributing on Special Teams and as a reserve tight end.
Mimes was a defensive end in high school, ranking highly amongst DE’s in New Jersey. Before signing with Pitt, Mimes received offers from Boston College, UConn, Old Dominion, Rutgers, Temple and Wake Forest.
