Providence adds one of the best available transfer guards in South Carolina’s Devin Carter. Carter made the announcement official on his Twitter account on Sunday morning.

“Let’s do it,” Carter said.

Carter will head to Providence with three years of eligibility left. The 6-foot-3 guard averaged 9.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists for the Gamecocks last season. Carter shot 40 percent from the field. Carter was named to the All-SEC Freshman Team.
