Just days after entering the transfer portal, former Duquesne guard Primo Spears told The Portal Report that he has heard from the following schools in the portal: TCU, Oklahoma, Maryland, Louisville, Seton Hall, Kansas State, Wake Forest, Pitt, Iowa State, and Xavier.

Spears, a 6-foot-3 guard, played one season for Duquesne, averaging 12.7 points and three assists per game. He shot 37% from the field and 30% from three-point land.

Spears caught the attention of the college basketball world when he dropped back-to-back 30-point games in Duquesne’s last two contests, becoming the first freshman in program history to do so. In the last game of the year for Duquesne in the Atlantic 10 tournament, Spears hit 12 of his 25 field-goal attempts en route to 30 points in a loss to Rhode Island.
