West Virginia Transfer Sean McNeil Commits to Ohio State

On Sunday evening, West Virginia transfer Sean McNeil committed to Ohio State. McNeil will play one season in Columbus for the Buckeyes.

The former Mountaineer made it official on his Instagram page.

McNeil picked Ohio State over Cincinnati, Indiana, Louisville, Texas Tech and Virginia. McNeil visited Cincinnati and Indiana this past week.

McNeil spent three seasons at West Virginia from 2019-22. The Union, KY, native scored 900 points in 89 career games for the Mountaineers. McNeil was a key piece to the 2021 NCAA Tournament team that earned a 3-seed, advancing to the round of 32. McNeil averaged 12.2 points during his senior campaign, shooting 37 percent from three.
