On Sunday, Kevin “Boopie” Miller announced that he will return to Central Michigan for the 2022-23 season after previously entering his name into the transfer portal.
All-MAC Performer Enters Transfer Portal
A Chicago, IL native, Miller averaged 13.1 points, 4.6 assists, and 3.4 rebounds, earning a spot on the MAC All-Freshman Team. He led the Chippewas in both scoring and assists per game on the year. The 6-foot guard shot 36 percent from three-point range, as well as 77.9 percent from the free-throw line. He started 28 of 30 contests last season, playing over 32 minutes per game. In addition, Miller scored in double figures 21 times, including eight consecutive games in February.
Out of high school. Miller garnered interest from schools such as Central Michigan, Oregon State, Auburn, Iona, Bradley, Tulane, and FGCU, before eventually taking his talents to CMU. He now returns to join Jesse Zarzuela in an exciting back court for the Chippewas.
