Two ranked opponents square off in Waco tonight as the Virginia Cavaliers and the Baylor Bears will battle for an early ranked victory this season. Here are two transfers to watch for this evening:
Ben Vander Plas
The Ohio transfer has been a key cog for the Cavaliers off the bench this season and has the numbers to show it. Vander Plas is averaging 8.5 points, 3.5 boards, and 2.5 assists per game for Virginia. He’s also shooting 57% from 3-point range and has averaged a block in the team’s first two games.

Jalen Bridges
The West Virginia transfer has been a beast for the Bears so far this season. In three games, Bridges is averaging 16 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 block per ball game. He is also shooting at an elite 64% from the field this season in only 22 minutes per game.
Tony Bennett and Scott Drew are two of the best coaches in the business. This game will surely be a defensive battle, with some shooting mixed in. These two are no doubt going to be key in their team’s chance to win.
