Texas Tech enters year one of the Grant McCasland era as the favored dark horse in the Big 12 thanks to their transfer class. The Red Raiders didn’t have any top individual add but their class is all-around respectable.

The Red Raiders look to fight in the Big 12 with these transfer veterans:

Devan Cambridge, F – Arizona State

Stats from 2022-23:

9.8 PTS, 5.4 REB, 0.8 AST

KyeRon Lindsay, F – Georgia

Stats from 2022-23:

6.2 PTS, 5.2 REB, 0.3 AST

Chance McMillian, G – Grand Canyon

Stats from 2022-23:

10.9 PTS, 3.1 REB, 2.1 AST

Joe Toussaint, G – West Virginia

Stats from 2022-23:

9.4 PTS, 2.8 REB, 2.6 AST

Warren Washington, F – Arizona State

Stats from 2022-23:

9.2 PTS, 6.9 REB, 1.6 AST, 1.8 BLK

Darrion Williams, F – Nevada

Stats from 2022-23:

7.6 PTS, 7.3 REB, 2.7 AST

TTU also brings back Robert Jennings, who opened his recruitment in April.

McCasland, who comes by way of North Texas, surrounds returning leading scorer Pop Isaacs with this group of six transfers. Texas Tech was voted eighth in the Big 12 Preseason Poll.

After an ugly end to Mark Adams’ coaching tenure at TTU, the Red Raiders look to get back on track with McCasland.
