Can’t-Miss Transfers for this Week in College Basketball

Richmond's Jordan King has been one of the best transfers of the year early on so far in the 2023-24 college basketball season.

As we head into week two of the college basketball season, let’s look at some of the can’t-miss names that you should check out this week in college basketball.

IDAN TRETOUT – IONA

Tretout is the No. 1 overall scorer from the portal so far! Iona’s veteran guard is averaging 25.5 points per game early on here this season.

XANDER RICE – MONMOUTH

Playing for his father King at Monmouth, Rice has had as strong of a start as any transfer, ranking as the No. 2 scoring transfer so far. He is averaging 25.5 points per game early on, and led his team to a big win over high-major West Virginia just last week. Rice dropped THIRTY against the Mountaineers and led his team into Morgantown for the win.

JORDAN KING – RICHMOND

King exploded for 34 points on opening night in a Richmond win, and added ten in game No. 2 for the Spiders. He’s looking like a steal for the Richmond staff.

AARON ESTRADA – ALABAMA

Former Hofstra guard Aaron Estrada is doing what he does best, now at the high-major level. Estrada is averaging 21.5 points and four assists per game so far for the Crimson Tide early on. He and teammate Grant Nelson both rank in the top ten scorers from the portal.

ISAIAH SWOPE – INDIANA STATE

Swope has been one of the top three-point shooting transfers so far this year, hitting nine of his first 16 tries from beyond the arch (58.3%). He’s averaging 21.5 points per contest.

ALLEN FLANIGAN – OLE MISS

The 6-foot-6 wing is off to a hot start, averaging 22 points and 8.5 rebounds per game for Chris Beard’s Rebels.
