Top 10 Scoring Transfers in College Basketball

Heading into our third week of the 2023 college basketball season, here’s a look at the top scoring transfers from around the nation while highlighting some of their best performances.

 

1.) Idan Tretout – Iona

Averaging 25.5 PPG, the former Harvard recruit contributed 35 points in a win over Sacred Heart last week and currently sits second in the nation in scoring.

 

2.) Love Bettis – Florida A&M

Despite just making his first appearance for the Rattlers in a loss to Florida last week, the North Carolina A&T transfer managed 24 points and four steals.

 

3.) Xander Rice – Monmouth

Leading the Hawks to an opening week win against West Virginia with 30 points, the former Bucknell guard is averaging 22.3 PPG through three appearances.

 

4.) Hunter Dickinson – Kansas

Having contributed 27 points and 21 rebounds in a Tuesday night neutral court win over Kentucky, Dickinson is averaging a double-double at 22 PPG and 12.3 RPG.

 

5.) Great Osobor – Utah State

A former Montana State transfer, Osobor is averaging 21.3 PPG and recently contributed 31 points and 10 rebounds in a comeback win over Southern Utah.

 

6.) Tyon Grant-Foster – Grand Canyon

Making his long awaited return to the court, the former Kansas and DePaul wing is averaging 21.3 PPG which included a 30 point showing to open the season and 28 points in a win over San Francisco

 

7.) Atin Wright – Drake

The Bulldogs are off to a 3-0 start behind the CSU Northridge transfer averaging 20.7 PPG and leading last week’s win over Oakland with 22 points and three assists.

 

8.) Sam Griffin – Wyoming

Averaging 20.4 PPG, Griffin was on fire this past week leading the Cowboys to wins over Charleston and Furman with 24 and 26 points respectively. 

 

9.) Noah Reynolds – Green Bay

The Wyoming transfer is averaging 20.3 PPG and led the Phoenix to their first win of the season with 23 points and 10 rebounds against St. Francis (NAIA).

 

10.) Ben Krikke – Iowa

Since arriving in Iowa City, Krikke is averaging a career-high of 20 PPG and managed 25 points and nine rebounds to complete a win over Arkansas State on Friday. In addition, while Krikke is currently tied in PPG with UCF’s Jaylin Sellers and Cal’s Jaylon Tyson, his efficiency metrics pushed the Valparaiso transfer into our 10th spot on this list.
