Cedric Melton is one of the biggest offensive line names that has hit the transfer portal in recent weeks.
Melton is a 6-foot-5, 300-pound lineman who earned a 66.3 offensive rating from PFF. He also earned a 78.2 pass-blocking score and a 70.9 run-blocking score across 27 snaps. The Houston, Texas native played in 19 games for the Rebels over the past few years, earning solid SEC experience. He started three games in 2021.
Since entering the transfer portal on December 8th, Melton has received several offers already, coming from UTSA and Houston. His agent told The Portal Report that he has also received interest from Baylor, Pitt, Indiana, and Syracuse. In addition, his agent said, Melton will host Pitt’s new Offensive Coordinator Kade Bell for an in-home visit on Wednesday, Dec. 13.
