Despite many star transfer running backs already announcing their commitments, including Marcus Carroll to Missouri, Chip Trayanum to Kentucky and many more, there is still loads of backfield talent up for grabs. Jo’Quavious Marks, Mississippi State: 547.00 FPTS
The top running back that remains uncommitted, Marks has been a stud in his four seasons at MSU. The senior transfer has combined for over 1,000 yards on the ground as well as 13 scores the last two seasons.
Nate Noel, Appalachian State: 458.70 FPTS
Noel started the season for the Mountaineers on a tear, ripping off five straight games of over 100 yards on the ground. Although injuries affected his production for the remainder of 2023, the unranked recruit out of high school will be an incredible get for whichever team lands him.
A four-year starter for the Miners, Hankins will prove to be a huge loss for UTEP. The junior running back tallied 812 yards and five touchdowns in 2023 to add to his career totals of 2,604 yards and 23 touchdowns on the ground.
Sieh Bangura, Ohio: 391.70 FPTS
After just two seasons as the starter for the Bobcats, it is astounding that he ranks fourth in career fantasy points. He followed a 1,078-yard 13 touchdown performance in 2022 with 811 yards and seven scores in 2023.
Jordan Waters, Duke: 345.40 FPTS
The second highest touchdown scorer amongst the uncommitted running backs in the 2023 season, Waters tallied 12 touchdowns on the ground. The North Carolina native will look to finish his collegiate career strong with his new team.
Treshaun Ward, Kansas State: 342.82 FPTS
A two-time transfer, Ward had the best season of his career in his first year at Kansas State following four seasons with FSU. The senior racked up 643 yards and five touchdowns in 2023.
Desmond Reid, Western Carolina: 338.30 FPTS
The leading touchdown scorer amongst uncommitted running backs in 2023, Reid uncorked 13 touchdowns on the ground in just his second season. The 5-8 stud will have multiple years of eligibility remaining for his new squad.
Ayo Adeyi, North Texas: 327.90 FPTS
Adeyi, the only thousand-yard rusher in 2023 on the list, will be a huge loss for the Mean Green. The junior was a workhorse for UNT, averaging 7.1 yards per carry last season.
2023 was a down year for Grant and he went for 724 and four touchdowns, showing the incredible production he has given SHU in his career. In fact, Grant rushed for over 1,000 yards in both the 2021 and 2022 seasons with a combined 21 touchdowns in those two years.
Frank Peasant, Middle Tennessee State: 313.10 FPTS
After struggling in 2023 with just 3.8 yards per carry, Peasant is looking for a new start. He will look to get back to his 2022 form with his new squad in which he ran for 774 yards and nine touchdowns for the Blue Raiders.
