As transfer portal season reaches its peak, top talent is coming off the board by the day. TPR dives into the top ten transfer wideouts who have announced their commitments…
10. Deion Burks, Purdue to Oklahoma
Can Burks be the next Hollywood Brown for the Sooners? Many OU fans are wondering about this after the 5-11 wideout announced his decision to come to Norman. In his first season receiving significant playing time at Purdue, Burks put his explosiveness on full display. The sophomore receiver tallied 629 yards and seven touchdowns on just 47 catches.
Burks was easily the Boilermakers leading receiver and was a trustworthy target for Hudson Card who often struggled to find his mark. Expect a huge first year for Burks in 2024 for his debut season with the Sooners.
9. Juice Wells, South Carolina to Ole Miss
A two-time transfer, Wells started his collegiate career with two great seasons at JMU. Following a 1,000-yard campaign in 2021, Wells transferred to South Carolina where he tallied 928 more yards the next season. Unfortunately, an injury week two against Georgia derailed Wells’s 2023 season before it started.
Despite this, Wells was still one of the most highly touted wideouts in the transfer portal and for Lane Kiffin the train continues to roll. Wells will have an immediate impact on the Rebels offense in 2024 and will quickly become returning QB Jaxson Dart’s most reliable target.
