Blind resume time:

  • Back to back 90+ tackle seasons
  • 250+ career tackles
  • 2022 3rd Team All Conference
  • 2023 1st Team All Conference

Not many linebackers in college football boast those accolades, let alone 5th year transfer linebackers. These are the numbers of Ohio linebacker, Keye Thompson. The Mike Linebacker provided veteran leadership for the Bobcats defense that was one of the best defensive units in the country. They finished fifth in total points allowed and fourth in total yards allowed per game. Thompson proved to be one of the major factors in the defensive success for the Bobcats as he finished second on the team in tackles, with 94 total tackles (his second of consecutive 90+ tackle seasons).

Thompson has received interest from both Power 5 and Group of 5 programs including Pitt, Michigan State, Oregon State, Washington, Cincinnati, Liberty, Toledo, and Tulsa. Wherever Thompson ends up, he will be able to bring high impact veteran experience that is capable of picking up new defensive concepts and schemes.
