No. 1 Kansas – Zeke Mayo

For the top ranked program in the nation, the former South Dakota State starlet has been the perfect addition averaging 12.6 PPG, 5.2 RPG and 3.2 APG to lead this 5-0 start behind Hunter Dickinson. The very first week of the season, it was the 2023-24 Summit League Player of the Year lifting his Jayhawks to a 92-89 win over UNC with 21 points, five boards and four assists.

Kansas State – Brendan Hausen

It’s been a tough start to the 2024-25 season for Jerome Tang and Co. featuring losses to LSU and Liberty, however the Villanova transfer in Hausen has been a significant bright spot. As the Wildcats second-leading scorer, the former top-100 prospect is averaging a career-high 13.3 PPG after dropping 22 points in a win over Cleveland State early this season.

Oklahoma State – Marchelus Avery

Under newly-minted Cowboys head coach Steve Lutz, the program is in a rebuilding-era brandished by a 4-2 record to start the season including losses to FAU and Nevada. Nonetheless, the development from former New Mexico State and UCF transfer in Avery has been a major storyline. After averaging just 7.6 PPG in the Big 12 last season, he’s instantly taken to leading this Oklahoma State attack with a career-high 13.3 PPG and 5.0 RPG.

TCU – Trazarien White

After averaging 19.8 PPG at UNC Wilmington this season, White’s production has taken a noticeable hit with a move to the Big 12 with just 11.4 PPG, 3.2 RPG and 1.2 APG. As was to be expected but he’s still proven the Horned Frogs leading scorer on a defensively stout team, shooting 51% from the floor amidst some tightly contested early battles for TCU.
