Courtney Ramey to Decide Between Arizona and West Virginia

Sources told The Portal Report on Monday night that Texas transfer G Courtney Ramey is deciding between Arizona and West Virginia.

Ramey (6-foot-3, 185 pounds) exited the NBA draft on June 1. Over the past week, Ramey has received serious interest from Arizona, Duke, Houston, Illinois, Kansas State, Louisville, Purdue, West Virginia and others. With 2023 Duke commit Tyrese Proctor reclassifying to 2022 and Houston guard Marcus Sasser returning to school, Ramey has been able to narrow down his options.

Ramey averaged 9.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.0 steals last season for Chris Beard. Ramey played three seasons under Shaka Smart and one under Beard, appearing in 128 career games for the Longhorns. The St. Louis native shot 40 percent from the field and 35 percent from three.

Ramey has one year of eligibility left.
