Northern Iowa transfer AJ Green is considered one of the best transfer portal players available. Green is a two-time Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year and can score at all three levels on the floor.

What’s next with Green?

Iowa State and Duke have been two teams that have shown interest in Green. Green will test NBA draft waters before focusing on the transfer portal if he decides to stay in school. On April 29, 247 Sports predicted that Green will transfer to Iowa State.

Green (6-foot-4, 189 pounds) has spent the past four years playing at Northern Iowa. In the 2020-21 season, Green was sidelined for most of the season, giving him two years of eligibility left with his future team. The two-time Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year averaged 18.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 31 games for the Panthers. During his career at UNI, Green shot 41 percent from the field, 38 percent from three and 90 percent from the free-throw line.

The Portal Report ranked Green as the third best available shooter in the transfer portal.
