Burns (6-foot-9, 260 pounds) has spent three years at Winthrop, becoming the Big South Conference Player of the Year in 2022. The Rock Hill, SC, native averaged 15.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.1 assists for the Eagles. Burns shot 63 percent from the field, which was ninth in all NCAA Division-I players.
