On Friday, former Saint Bonaventure guard Kyle Lofton committed to and signed with the Florida Gators just weeks after taking an official visit to Gainesville.

Lofton played four seasons for the Bonnies, averaging 14+ points per game in three of them. This year, he averaged 12.8 points and 5.9 assists per game this season for the Bonnies. Lofton is a career 30.3% shooter from three-point range, and has also dished out at least 5.5 assists per game in three separate seasons.

Lofton received interest from Purdue, Arizona, Rutgers, Florida, Texas Tech, Tennessee, Seton Hall, and Kansas State in the portal, but ultimately chose the Gators. Prior to his commitment, reports came out that Lofton wanted to team up with former Bonnies big man Osun Osunniyi, who is also in the portal, at their next destination. However, at the moment, Osunniyi has not committed to the program just yet. The program is also reportedly interested in former Buffalo forward Josh Mballa, per Andrew Slater of Pro Insight.
