Who are Top Recent Transfer Portal Commitments?

It’s the summer and the dead time for the transfer portal right? Not really as a few recent commitments have caught my eye.

RB Demarckus Bowman to UCF — It’s always a big deal when a former 5 star enters the portal and an even bigger deal when one enters twice and goes from Florida to UCF right? Bowman could have to sit a year but his upside is unquestionably high and he could be a star if he gets his head together.

RB Dee Beckwith to Kentucky — Beckwith is a freak athlete for sure. He’s big and tall and has played wide receiver, quarterback and running back in the past. He’s kind of a Swiss Army knife for the new offense at Kentucky and will line up all over. The Vols never got him on track and now he gets to play them down the road.

WR Gregory Clayton Jr. to LSU — Clayton Jr. is a nice depth addition for LSU as he returns back home where he was a 3 star recruit out of high school. UTSA had a loaded wide receiver room and LSU does too so a down the line impact is what to look for here.

RB Ramone Jefferson to Kentucky — From FCS star to the SEC, Jefferson adds depth to Kentucky at running back from Sam Houston State. Jefferson isn’t a big back but he’s sneaky strong and he’s fast. With Chris Rodriguez having off field legal troubles, another ready-to-start RB was needed. Jefferson committed to Colorado in May but will now play in the SEC. He was a 1,000-yard runner last season.
