After Long Island decided to fire head coach Derek Kellogg this late into the offseason, forward Eral Penn entered his name into the transfer portal. Penn immediately becomes one of the best available players.

Penn entered into the transfer portal on Thursday, per Verbal Commits.

Penn spent five seasons at Long Island, playing in four. The Brooklyn native appeared in 108 games for the Sharks. This past season, Penn averaged 17.1 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.1 blocks per game. Penn shot 43 percent from the field during his redshirt senior season. Penn has one year of eligibility remaining.

The former LIU forward has the talent to play at any level in college basketball and make an impact with an assigned role. For any team in the country that needs another wing, Penn would be a great choice if you need immediate impact. Penn can score in the paint and mid-range, at times can stretch the floor to the perimeter. At 6-foot-7, Penn can rebound well for his size and plays great defense.
