Report: Keyontae Johnson Visits Kansas State, Receives Interest From Others

As first reported by Jeff Goodman of Stadium, Florida transfer Keyontae Johnson visited Kansas State on Saturday. Goodman also reports that Johnson has visited Western Kentucky and has been recruited by USC.

Johnson has not appeared in a college basketball game since December 2020 when he collapsed on the floor. Since Johnson has been cleared by multiple medical staff and will return to the floor this upcoming season.

Johnson (6-foot-5, 229 pounds) was an All-SEC recipient back in 2019-20. During his sophomore season, Johnson averaged 14.0 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game. The Norfolk, Va., native shot 55 percent from the field and 38 percent from three.

The former Gator entered the transfer portal in May and will look to complete his collegiate career with a respectable program. The 22-year-old has a $5 million insurance policy if he never plays again.
