Heath is entering his second season at the helm in Ypsilanti, at his alma mater of Eastern Michigan. This offseason, the Eagles’ staff had a tremendous year recruiting the transfer portal, adding former five-star prospect and Memphis standout Emoni Bates, Legend Geeter (Providence), and Tyson Acuff (Duquesne).

Those players will join forces with EMU’s returning talent, including Noah Farrakhan, a well-known guard who averaged more than 16 points per contest last season for the Eagles. The 6-foot-2, Newark, New Jersey native shot 43% from the field last season and should provide stability for a team full of new faces that will surely contribute this year.
