Kevin Samuel, South Alabama
Samuel, a transfer from Florida Gulf Coast and TCU, continued his dominant ways for South Alabama in their season opener against Mobile College, putting up 16 points, 12 rebounds, two steals, and three blocks. South Alabama defeated Mobile by a score of 97-59.
KJ Williams, LSU
The reigning MVC Player of the Year dominated for LSU in their season opener, posting a double-double. Williams had 13 points, 14 rebounds, and 3 blocks. LSU defeated Kansas City by a score of 74-63.
Chance Moore, Missouri State
Moore made an immediate impact off the bench for the Missouri State Bears in their opener. He scored 18 points on only 10 shots from the floor and collected six boards. He shot 3-5 from behind the three-point line and also contributed a block. Missouri State defeated Missouri S&T by a score of 82-47.
Patrick Gardner, Marist
The Division III transfer had an incredible debut in the Red Foxes’ win over American tonight. Gardner had 19 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Marist defeated American 73-69.
