There was tons of great college basketball tonight around the country. Here are some transfers that stood out:
Sam Sessoms, Coppin State
Sessoms continued his hot start this season as he finished with 24 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists. He led Coppin State to their second victory of the season over Navy 75-68.
Demarcus Sharp, Northwestern State
Sharp helped lead Northwestern State to an upset victory over No. 15 TCU. He scored 19 points and also collected 5 rebounds and dished out 7 assists for the Demons. Northwestern State upsets TCU 64-63.
Ja’Monta Black, Northwestern State
Black led his team in scoring as they upset TCU. He dropped 25 points and also collected four rebounds.
De’Vion Harmon, Texas Tech
Harmon was the engine that allowed Texas Tech to pull off a victory against a very tough Louisiana Tech team. He performed very well on both sides of the ball as he scored 15 points, dished out 6 assists, rebounds the ball 5 times, stole the ball 4 times, and had 2 blocks on the night. Texas Tech defeated Louisiana Tech 64-55.
Kellen Tynes, Maine
Tynes recorded a double-double as Maine defeated Boston College. He recorded 17 points and 10 rebounds. Tynes also had 5 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block on the night. Maine defeats Boston College 69-64.
Dain Dainja, Illinois
Dainja had another excellent outing for Illinois as he scored 15 points and recorded 4 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 blocks, and an assist.
Terrence Shannon Jr., Illinois
Shannon dominated the Illini’s match-up with Monmouth tonight. He dropped a career-high 30 points, collected 8 rebounds, and chipped in 4 assists. Shannon shot 9-14 from the field on the night and also contributed with a steal and block. Illinois defeats Monmouth 103-65.
Terry Roberts, Georgia
Roberts had himself a game against Miami (OH). He dropped 22 points, 4 boards, and 3 assists as he led his team to victory. Georgia defeats Miami (OH) 77-70.
Kyle Lofton, Florida
Stat-stuffing performance tonight for Lofton in a loss against Florida Atlantic. He scored 14 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, and dished out 6 assists. Florida loses to Florida Atlantic 76-74.
