On Monday, another big name in college football hit the portal.
Michigan’s Cade McNamara showed up in the transfer portal after spending three years in the Michigan program. This season, he was benched in favor of promising sophomore JJ McCarthy, and has now entered the portal in search of a new home.
McNamara totaled 3,100+ passing yards in his Wolverine career as well as 21 touchdowns and just seven interceptions.
In high school, McNamara was a four-star QB who chose Michigan over offers from Notre Dame, Alabama, Georgia, and lots of others.
