PITTSBURGH — The Portal Report would like to welcome Matt Kraemer to the team as Director of Analytics.
Kraemer, a certified data analyst and certified public accountant, will provide expertise in several areas throughout the company. He will lead the analytics team, creating and maintaining a new-and-improved database for “TPR Scout” – our NCAA-approved scouting service. Kraemer will also create groundbreaking content for TPR with a focus on analytics. This will include social media content as well as state-of-the-art data analysis tools to allow fans to track their favorite teams’ transfer portal recruiting activities and follow performance of former transfer players in college basketball and football.
Kraemer graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance as well as a certification from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania in Business Analytics. He then went on to work at Schneider Downs, a Pittsburgh based consulting firm. Kraemer has over ten years of analytics, technology, business, and accounting consulting experience which will help grow The Portal Report’s reach to be the best at connecting coaches and players in the transfer portal recruiting process.
Kraemer, son of a youth and high school basketball coach, grew up playing and loving the game of basketball. However, he played as many sports as possible throughout his childhood. This formed a deep passion for sports that he carried through his professional career. The unique combination of deep analytical skills and knowledge of basketball, football, and other collegiate sports will advance our scouting services and content.
