Late MBB Portal News Trickling in Throughout September

The Portal never sleeps.

We’ve got some more transfer portal news as of late, including a few commitments this week.

WE’VE GOT PORTAL MAACTION

Manhattan earned a late commitment this week, as DeJuan Clayton (yes, that Dejuan Clayton) has found a new home!

Clayton, who started college in 2016, spent five seasons with Coppin State, followed by one season with Hartford and one season with California.

WOODY NEWTON GOOD TO GO

According to Jon Rothstein, George Mason’s Woody Newton has received a waiver for this upcoming season.

WAGNER’S FLETCHER HEADED BACK TO WESTERN PA

Division II Slippery Rock (PA) picked up a huge commitment this week, as they welcomed Pittsburgh native Ja’Mier Fletcher to the squad.

The 6-foot-7 forward Fletcher started 28 games at Wagner (D1), and averaged 3 points and 2.9 rebounds per game last year.
