Kansas’ Brown Takes Home TPR’s Heavy Hitter of the Week Honors

This past week, transfers from around the country showed out on the defensive side of the ball.

Let’s take a look at the top tacklers of week five of the college football season across all former transfer portal prospects.

JB BROWN – LB – KANSAS

Have a day, JB! Brown, an Arizona transfer, racked up 24.75 defensive fantasy points, according to TPR’s analytics team. Brown earned nine tackles in Kansas’  loss to Texas.

Brown began his career at Bowling Green, where he played for three seasons before transferring to Arizona. He did not make any appearances in 2022 for the Wildcats, and then decided to make the move to Kansas, to play for the resurgent Jayhawks. This year, Brown already has a career-best five tackles for loss, in addition to 25 overall tackles and one forced fumble.
