Class Spotlight: SMU’s Strong Transfer Group Shines in Win Over Charlotte

On Saturday, SMU took down Charlotte 34-16 in a lopsided affair headlined by numerous former transfer portal prospects.

Let’s take a look at SMU’s portal class and its biggest performances of the weekend.

JAYLAN KNIGHTON – MIAMI TRANSFER

Knighton rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns in the win. He also hauled in one grab through the air. Knighton’s strong day earned him 27.5 TPR Fantasy Points.

KOBE WILSON – TEMPLE TRANSFER

Linebacker Kobe Wilson showed out on Saturday, earning 14.5 fantasy points. He totaled ten tackles in the win and one QB hurry.

KORI ROBERSON – OKLAHOMA TRANSFER

Robinson, a defensive tackle, had three tackles, including one sack. Robinson stands at 6-foot-3, 286 pounds and came to SMU via Oklahoma through the portal.

THE REST!

In SMU’s big victory, transfers Jonathan McGill (Stanford), Charles Woods (West Virginia), and Elijah Roberts (Miami) also had solid outings. McGill led the group with five tackles in the win.

Rhett Lashlee has built a solid class in Dallas and has the Mustangs ready to improve on their 3-1 record and 1-0 start to conference play in the AAC!
