Transfer Stars Headline Games of the Week

Published

on

No.8 Oregon at No.7 Washington: 3:30 ET ABC

  • College Gameday heads to Seattle for the potential game of the year in the Pac-12 as the Oregon Ducks head up north to face their bitter rival Washington. Both teams have been led to 5-0 starts through outstanding transfer QB play, Bo Nix (Auburn) for the Ducks, and Michael Penix Jr. (Indiana) for the Huskies. Star transfers will be on all sides of the ball, and Oregon DBs Khyree Jackson and Tysheem Johnson will need to be great to slow down the Huskies prolific passing game. Ducks will look for revenge in a hostile environment.

No.10 USC at No.21 Notre Dame: 7:30 ET NBC

  • In another battle of transfer QBs, Caleb Williams and the Trojans head to South Bend to take on Sam Hartman and the Irish. Both teams are looking to bounce back after tough games, with the Irish losing at undefeated Louisville and USC needing 3OT to get a sloppy win over Arizona. Look for a shootout in this year’s edition of the ND/USC rivalry.

No.25 Miami at No.12 UNC: 7:30 ET ABC

  • After a meltdown at home last week, Mario Cristobal’s team is looking for a bounce back in a major way in Chapel Hill. Transfer LB Francisco Mauigoa (Wazzu) and DB Jaden Davis (Oklahoma) will look to help slow down Drake Maye and UNC’s offense that ranks ninth in the nation in YPG.

No.18 UCLA vs No.15 Oregon State: 8 ET FOX

  • DJ Uiagalelei and OSU are firing on all cylinders on the offensive end after a 52-40-win last weekend. UCLA’s transfer RB Carson Steele had another outstanding performance in a win over Washington State Saturday. Steele will need to be a reliable option for Freshman QB Dante Moore in a tough road environment in Corvallis.
