Could Sean Miller’s Transfer Class at Xavier Be Underrated?

Xavier HC Sean Miller is preparing to begin his second season during his second tenure with the Musketeers. Miller looks to take Xavier back to the NCAA Tournament after having to retool his roster through the transfer portal.

Miller brings in three transfers from the group of five level but all are Power-6 caliber players. Can Xavier’s class be noted as underrated?

Xavier’s Transfer Class:

Dayvion McKnight, G – Western Kentucky

16.0 PTS, 5.0 REB, 3.8 AST

Quincy Olivari, G – Rice

18.7 PTS, 5.9 REB, 2.2 AST

Abou Ousmane, C – North Texas

11.1 PTS, 6.0 REB, 1.1 AST, 1.3 BLK

Xavier was voted sixth in the Big East preseason poll after finishing second in the conference. The Musketeers lost Souley Boum, Colby Jones, Jack Nunge, Adam Kunkel and will be without big man Zach Freemantle for a while.

Xavier has not received much attention for their class but don’t be surprised to see them fighting at the top half of the Big East.
