RANKINGS: Top-10 Running Back Transfers Through Week Nine

Here’s a look at our top-10 running back transfers and how they’ve performed through week nine of the 2023 College Football Season.

10.) Nathan Carter – Michigan State

The UConn transfer leads this struggling Spartans squad with 609 rushing yards on 141 attempts, four touchdowns, and has been involved in the passing game with 89 receiving yards.

 

9.) Logan Diggs – LSU

A former Notre Dame tailback, Diggs has logged 611 rushing yards on 105 attempts, six touchdowns, and has eight receptions for 82 yards for the Tigers this season.

 

8.) Quali Conley – San Jose State

The one time Utah Tech recruit has burst onto the scene for San Jose State this season with 499 rushing yards on 80 attempts, seven rushing touchdowns, and 19 receptions for 233 receiving yards.

 

7.) Carson Steele – UCLA

Recent Ball State transfer Carson Steele has amassed 124 rushing attempts, 674 rushing yards, six touchdowns, and 752 yards of total offense for UCLA.

 

6.) Bhayshul Tuten – Virginia Tech

The former North Carolina A&T Freshman has been a massive feature in the Hokies passing and rushing attack with 487 rushing yards, 215 receiving yards, and five total touchdowns.

 

5.) MarShawn Lloyd – USC

The South Carolina transfer rebounded this week in a win at California and has put together 766 rushing yards and eight touchdowns for the Trojans since arriving on the west coast.

 

4.) Cameron Skattebo – Arizona State

Skattebo, a Sacramento State transfer, has been all over the field for the Sun Devils with 534 rushing yards, 273 receiving yards, and eight touchdowns. However, he’s gotten involved in the passing game throwing for 60 yards on four attempts and has even punted five times for a total of 214 punting yards and an average distance of 42.8 yards.

 

3.) Ismail Mahdi – Texas State

The Houston Christian transfer has been a major impact piece for these Bobcats, pacing their rushing attack with 854 yards on 118 attempts, eight rushing touchdowns, and even added 215 receiving yards and a reception TD to his tally.

 

2.) Blake Watson – Memphis

Two-time transfer Blake Watson has finally found a home in Memphis, managing 762 rushing yards, nine touchdowns, and 348 receiving yards on the season.

1.) Ray Davis – Kentucky

A former Temple and Vanderbilt standout, Davis has led all transfer running backs this season in scoring with 823 rushing yards, nine rushing touchdowns, and five receiving TD’s despite the Wildcats recent struggles.
