A few weeks into the college football transfer portal season, here’s a look at The Portal Report’s top 10 quarterbacks available based on career passing touchdowns.

For more information, check out The Portal Report’s 2023-24 Transfer Portal Database tracker here.

10.) Tommy Schuster – North Dakota

Having played four seasons as the Fighting Hawks starting quarterback, Schuster has compiled some intriguing stats including 63 passing touchdowns, 9,075 passing yards, with a completion percentage of 67%. As one of the more experienced play callers in the portal, Schuster is already reported receiving offers from Eastern Michigan and Western Carolina.

Leading North Dakota to consecutive 7-5 campaigns, look for the interest in Schuster’s services to start piling up over the next couple weeks as coaches finally begin to take notice of an experienced vet still in the portal.

9.) EJ Warner – Temple

The son of former NFL quarterback and league MVP Kurt Warner, EJ Warner has found some success in his two season’s as a starter for the Owls with 41 career passing touchdowns and just 24 interceptions. Despite a 3-9 finish to Temple 2023 season, Warner persevered with a career-best campaign behind 23 passing touchdowns, 3,076 passing yards, and limiting the interceptions to just 12.

After becoming the first player in Temple history with back-to-back seasons of over 3,000 passing yards, Warner entered the portal on December 4 and hasn’t reported any interest yet. Still, the Phoenix, AZ native is expected to make a jump out of the AAC and projects as a potential low-end power-5 quarterback ahead of next season.
