6.) Jordan McCloud – James Madison
Following stints at South Florida and Arizona, the 2023 Sun Belt Player of the Year led James Madison to one of the best seasons in program history finishing 11-1 behind a career-best 32 passing touchdowns from Jordan McCloud. For his four seasons, McCloud has contributed 55 passing touchdowns, 13 rushing TD’s, 6,651 passing yards, has a completion percentage of 69%, all while throwing just 24 career interceptions.
Since entering the portal, former Dukes head coach Curt Cignetti has taken the job at Indiana and many suggested McCloud could follow him there. However, with former Ohio QB Kurtis Rourke recently announcing his commitment to the Hooisers, McCloud’s recruitment seems wide open for the time being.
5.) Daniel Richardson – Florida Atlantic
Returning home to Florida this season after four years at Central Michigan, Daniel Richardson found continued success as the starter for FAU throwing 13 touchdowns, 2,001 passing yards, and leading the Owls to a 56-14 win over USF. Across his five seasons of college football, Richardson has managed 56 passing touchdowns, 7,392 passing yards, maintaining a career completion percentage 61%.
No doubt the turnovers numbers are intriguing with a sharp increase to double-digit interceptions this past season, but the interest and offers will start to roll in shortly for another experienced veteran QB.
