Top 20 Transfer Defenders Still Available

Teams looking to bolster their defense in the transfer portal still have a plethora of outstanding options available. TPR highlights the 20 top defensive players available based on career fantasy points, according to TPR’s fantasy point system.

20. Wesley Walker, Tennessee DB: 315.90 FPTS

Walker, a two-time transfer who started his career at Georgia Tech, had his best statistical season in 2023. The Tennessee native racked up 53 tackles, two pass defenses, along with a forced fumble and sack. Walker was the highest graded returning safety in the SEC last season and hits the portal looking to have an immediate impact for a contender.

19. Kempton Shine, Eastern Michigan DB: 317.30 FPTS

A four-year starter for the Eagles, Shine had his best season in 2023. The 6-0 senior tallied 56 tackles and added eight pass defenses. Shine flies around the field and will be a huge addition for a contender looking for help in the secondary.

18. Tavian Combs, New Mexico S: 317.35 FPTS

After the best season of his career in 2021 where Combs recorded 81 tackles, five pass defenses, and two picks, he suffered a devastating torn ACL early in 2022. Combs bounced back in 2023 with 46 tackles and a pass breakup and has the resilience and talent to make a difference against top competition.

17. Jaden Voisin, South Alabama S: 320.70 FPTS

Voisin waited for his turn to shine for two seasons at South Alabama. When he got his chance to start in 2022, he took full advantage. Voisin is set to transfer after 146 tackles, 11 pass defenses, and six interceptions in the last two seasons.

16. Malik Dixon-Williams, UConn DB: 321.00 FPTS

Dixon-Williams has been incredibly productive in all three of his seasons for the Huskies. His freshman year, Dixon-Williams delivered a 37-yard pick six in addition to 58 tackles. Malik was at his best in 2022 with 87 tackles and six pass defenses.
