With all the buzz around bowl season and the unbelievable games at the College Football Playoff semifinals, a transfer portal in full swing has taken a backseat for the moment. TPR dives into the ten most impactful recent transfer commitments, which includes commitments from December 24th or after.
10. DJ Lundy, Colorado LB
A huge addition to Coach Prime’s defense, Lundy has been an all-around weapon during his four seasons in Tallahassee. Not only has Lundy racked up 183 tackles, nine passes defensed, and five sacks in his career, but he added a receiving and rushing touchdown to those numbers. In fact, Lundy’s only collegiate carry resulted in the touchdown that would put the Noles ahead for good in an opening week 24-23 win over LSU in 2022. Lundy’s experience will be crucial to a Boulder defense in need of stability in 2024.
9. Trevor Etienne, Georgia RB
Etienne’s decision to transfer within the SEC East, from Florida to archrival Georgia, ruffled Gator’s fans feathers. However, it is tough to blame Etienne, with the Dawgs recent dominance, combined with the fact that they have churned out star NFL backs at an impressive rate. Etienne was a beast in Gainesville for two seasons, not allowing his 5-9 205-pound frame to get in the way of success. Etienne used his strength and vision to total 1,472 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns in two years.
