Chedon James, Idaho State
Coming out of prestigious St. John Bosco as a three-star recruit, 5-8 wideout Chedon James received just one offer. James committed to play for Air Force, however decided to start his college career with Idaho State. For James, the decision to play for Idaho State may have saved his college football career.
Although 206 yards and a touchdown his freshman year does not feel like an amazing performance, a 5-8 freshman getting those kinds of targets is not something to be overlooked. James proved just that last season.
In 2023, Chedon James proved he belongs at the highest level. James was simply unstoppable last season for the Bengals. The sophomore transfer hauled in an unbelievable 102 receptions for 1,045 yards and eight touchdowns. This astonishing production for James was good for 1st team All-Big Sky Honors. In addition, James ranked first in the FCS in total receptions and fourth in receiving yards.
