Cameron Ross, UConn

Cam Ross exploded on to the scene his freshman year. A three-star recruit out of high school, Ross did not receive many offers and decided to commit to UConn. Ross got to campus and immediately made all those other coaches realize they made a mistake.

Ross playing his freshman year was like lightning in a bottle waiting to be unleashed. The 5-11 receiver went for an absurd 723 yards and four touchdowns. In his best game of the year, Ross went absolutely ballistic with eight catches, 169 yards and two touchdowns vs ECU. This performance was good for an Honorable Mention All-American by Pro Football Focus and fifth in the nation among true freshman in receiving yards.

Unfortunately for Ross, he suffered season ending injuries in both 2021 and 2022. However, in 2023 Ross was back to form going for 552 yards and two touchdowns for a Huskies offense that struggled mightily throughout the year.
