In Texas and Oklahoma’s final season as members of the Big 12, we’ve already seen a chaotic start to conference play that’s put Texas Tech atop the standings at 4-1 (shoutout to TPR’s Jacob Harris). Headlining for many of the Big 12’s programs this season is a group of that nation’s top transfer talent that’ll lead these teams come March.
Here’s a look at the Top Ten Transfer Scorers from the Big 12 so far this season:
10.) Javon Small – Oklahoma State
Earlier this season, I had the opportunity to cover Small at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn where he dropped 29 points, 10 rebounds, and two assists despite a loss to Notre Dame. He is every bit crafty, skillful and quick and since then, he’s averaging a team-leading 13.9 PPG while the Cowboys look to halt an early 0-6 start in the Big 12.
9.) Tylor Perry – Kansas State
Having won the 2022-23 Conference USA Player of the Year award, Perry was ready for the big time and he’s showcased it early by averaging 14.5 PPG and 5.2 APG or with his 25 points and 5 assists against UCF and more recently, 18 points to down Baylor.
