What a year it’s been for Hunter Sallis. A 6-5 guard, Sallis started no games during his two-year tenure at Gonzaga. His impact on Wake Forest cannot be ignored and has them fighting for a spot in the NCAA Tournament. Sallis’ nine 20 plus point performances propelled the Demon Deacons to a 6-3 record in those games. Sallis and fellow transfer teammate Kevin Miller (mentioned above) continue to light it up in Winston-Salem. A different energy radiates around Wake hoops this year and is thanks in large part to portal domination.
1. Harrison Ingram, North Carolina: 30.6 FPT/G
A five-star high school recruit sits atop the list. Harrison Ingram ranked as the No.2 player in Texas. Ingram started two seasons at Stanford before deciding to transfer to Chapel Hill. Now, Ingram is an X-Factor for a top ten team. A highly anticipated matchup between Duke and UNC saw Harrison Ingram be the best player on the floor. Ingram dropped 21 on 8-12 from the field and added 13 boards. Ingram’s recent stretch of seven of eight games with over 10 rebounds brought his season average up to 8.7 per contest.
